The Communications & Signals Manual is an annual publication released every January. It is a manual of recommended practice written by AREMA technical committees in the interest of establishing uniformity, promoting safety or efficiency and economy. This Manual makes recommendations representing current signal practices for new installations and for replacement on existing installations when general renewal or replacement is to be made.
