Fundamentals of Marine Service Technology

Fundamentals of Marine Service Technology, offered by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), provides an overview of boat parts identification and safety practices and covers the fundamental principles of electrical, engine drive, electronics, and plumbing systems. Chapters and topics are sequenced to build a comprehensive understanding of marine vessel parts, systems, and operation. Quick Response (QR) codes throughout the book allow access to online explanatory videos that demonstrate key operation concepts and required maintenance skills. Multiple-choice questions at the end of each chapter allow assessment of progress for self-study. This book can also be used as part of a Marine Service Technology Program leading to certification through the ABYC.
