Knot Tying Book
DESCRIPTION
by Chris Damboise
“I can’t tie knots!” is a phrase often heard during Project Adventure workshop season. If you have ever uttered anything similar, this book is for you; an illustrated and hands-on book outlining the “how to” of knot tying and the appropriate use of knots on challenge courses. This easy-to-use reference covers 17 of the most commonly used challenge course knots – from Alpine Butterfly to Water Knot. The book is arranged according to practitioner experience level: novice, intermediate and advanced and is filled with full page illustrations which supplement the text and target multiple learning styles. Tips and tricks for learning to tie knots are also included. The format allows the user to read the written description of how to tie the knot on one page and look at the illustration of it on the facing page. The spiral binding also allows the book to fold along its spine and “stand up” to allow a better view of the illustrations while practicing the knots. For challenge course practitioners, facilitators, and teachers, experienced or inexperienced.
